![]() It was scrappy, it was chippy, it was ugly, and that was just the Larrivee/Leyden line. The first place Goblins improved to 7-1 as they pick up on the 2nd half of the season they way they began the first, with a win over the Devils. Last time it was 7-4, so apparently the Devils are improving. Greg Zall made it clear that when the Devils win he's the captain, and when they lose Fowler is the captain. It's a win win for Zall, more or less. Fowler had a couple of nice goals, but with rookie Joe Dohery getting a pair for the Gobs, they were cancelled out. Paul Provencal had two really nice goals for the Gobs and played his usual strong defense. As did Jon Leone who is becoming the new Wayne of the league. For the non winners: Nick Rao looked like he just woke up even though it was the noon game. Rob VanBismarck continues to sink while back on defense, he's gotta stop listening to Ravi, who didn't show up this week either.. Rob McHugh was playing in his 3rd game of the day and picked up his 3rd loss of the day. And rookie Bob Clinton is gonna get you one goal a game, no more, no less. |
